Effective 6 October 2026. This policy explains what happens to the images you use with ImageConverter.pro, and what little other information the site handles. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
The short version
- There are no accounts. Google Analytics counts visits using cookies, and you can opt out.
- Almost every tool makes its result on our server. The two that only look at an image — the image metadata viewer and the colour picker — work entirely in your browser, and those images never reach us.
- Tools that need our server delete your upload the moment it has been processed, and the result once you download it, or within 30 minutes if you never do.
- We never look at your images, never use them for anything else, and never sell or share information about you.
Who is responsible
ImageConverter.pro is operated by Rizwan Feroze. If you have any question about this policy or about information relating to you, send us a message through the contact form.
Images you convert or edit
Tools that only look at your image
Two tools only look at an image and make no file: the image metadata viewer and the colour picker. They work on your own device, in your browser. The image is not uploaded and we never receive it.
Tools that use our server
Every other tool makes its result on our server, so that it works the same on every phone and computer. When you use one of them, your file is uploaded to our server, and this is exactly what happens to it:
- It is stored outside the public part of the server under a random name, never under your file's own name.
- It is converted automatically. No person looks at it.
- The file you uploaded is deleted as soon as processing ends, whether it succeeded or failed.
- The result is available only through a private, signed link given to you, which stops working after 20 minutes, and the result is deleted as soon as you download it.
- A result that is never downloaded is deleted automatically within 30 minutes.
- Results produced on our server have camera metadata removed, including any GPS coordinates recording where a photo was taken. Only the orientation needed to show the image the right way up is kept.
Uploads are limited to 20 MB per file. We do not keep copies, back them up, or use images to train software or for any purpose other than performing the conversion you asked for.
Some of these tools show you a preview first, drawn in your browser — cropping, watermarking and merging, for example. The file is uploaded when you apply the change. If your browser cannot display a photo for that preview, a reduced copy is made on our server to preview with, and the rules above apply to it too. The watermark tool also uploads the watermark it drew, which is deleted along with your photo.
Information handled automatically
Protection against abuse
To stop the service being overwhelmed, the number of files sent to our server in a short time is limited. To do this, a hashed form of your IP address is held for about one minute and then deleted. The contact form is limited in the same way, for up to an hour. It is not used for anything else.
Error records
If a conversion fails, we record the file formats involved and the technical error so that we can fix the problem. These records do not contain your image, its contents, or your IP address.
Server logs
Like almost every website, the servers that host ImageConverter.pro may keep standard request logs for security and to keep the service running — typically the address of the page requested, the time, and the IP address and browser type of the device making the request. These logs are not used to identify or track visitors.
Visitor statistics
ImageConverter.pro uses Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to count visits and see which pages and tools are used, so that we know what to improve. It records:
- the pages you visit, when, and the page or website that brought you here;
- your type of device, operating system, browser, screen size and language;
- your approximate location, such as country and city, worked out from your IP address. Google Analytics does not store the IP address itself;
- how you use a page, such as scrolling and clicking links to other websites.
It never receives your images or what is in them. Visits are linked to a random identifier kept in a cookie, not to your name or email address. We do not use any of this for advertising. Google processes the information for us and keeps it for up to 14 months. Google's privacy policy explains how Google handles it.
We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used, and you can object at any time. To stop Google Analytics, install Google's opt-out browser add-on, block or delete cookies for this site in your browser's settings, or use a browser or extension that blocks trackers. The rest of the site works the same either way.
Where your information is handled
ImageConverter.pro is run from Pakistan, and the server that converts files and stores contact messages is there. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or anywhere else with similar data protection law, the limited information described above is handled outside that area, and Pakistan is not covered by a European Commission adequacy decision.
We rely on that handling being necessary to provide the service you asked for, and we keep what travels as small as possible: an uploaded file exists only while it is being converted, a result is deleted within 30 minutes, and a contact message after 180 days.
Traffic to the site passes through Cloudflare, which delivers pages and protects the site from attack. It handles the technical details needed to serve each request, including your IP address. Files you send to our server travel through it on the way; images you use with the image metadata viewer or the colour picker never leave your device, so they never reach Cloudflare either.
The statistics described under "Visitor statistics" are handled by Google, including in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has found to provide adequate protection.
Cookies and browser storage
ImageConverter.pro itself does not set cookies. The only cookies come from Google Analytics:
_ga, which tells one browser from another, and _ga_ followed by an ID, which
keeps track of the current visit. Both last up to two years unless you clear them.
If you switch between the light and dark appearance, that choice is remembered in your browser's own storage on your device. It is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser's settings.
Third parties
Apart from Google Analytics, the site does not load advertising, social media widgets, or fonts and scripts from other companies.
The image metadata viewer can show a photo's recorded location on a map. The map is only opened on the OpenStreetMap website if you choose to click that link, at which point OpenStreetMap's own privacy policy applies.
If we ever add advertising, this policy will be updated before that happens, and we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.
What we do not do
- We do not have accounts or passwords, and we do not ask who you are — unless you choose to send us a message.
- We do not sell, rent or share information about visitors.
- We do not use analytics to identify you, and we do not follow you across other websites.
If you send us a message
The contact form stores exactly what you type into it — your name, your email address, the topic you choose, the page you mention and your message — so that we can read it and reply. Your email address is used only to answer your message. It does not record your IP address or any other detail about your device, and it sets no cookie. Messages are read only by the people who run ImageConverter.pro, are never shared or used for marketing, and are deleted automatically 180 days after they arrive.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is used. Because we keep almost no information about visitors, and analytics is tied to a random identifier rather than to you, there is usually nothing we can find — but you are welcome to ask through the contact form, and you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The site is a general tool and is not aimed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If how the site handles information changes, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change with it. Significant changes, such as adding advertising, will be made here before they take effect.
